About the Award

The APEAR Excellence Award honours outstanding projects, products, or services that have significantly advanced the field of Employee Assistance (EA). Whether through innovative practices, impactful delivery, or groundbreaking solutions, this award celebrates excellence that inspires progress and drives meaningful change.

Who can Apply?

The awards are given to any organisation or individual who implements a notable service, project or product in EA delivery and practice. The submission should detail the need that was addressed, the challenges faced, and what the impact was. The solution should clearly show positive benefit for the organisation, individual or professional practice. The benefit can be financial, systems, working practice etc. Nominations are open to any individual or organisation who provides Employee Assistance services directly or indirectly. 

Eligibility Criteria & Conditions

  • Submissions must focus on EA projects, products, or services initiated or implemented between April 1st 2025 and September 30th 2026.
     

  • The product, practice, service, or delivery must be led by an EA provider, employer, or other organization supporting mental health and wellbeing, and must benefit one or more of the following groups:

    • The customer organization or workplace as a whole
    • Employees or other direct beneficiaries
    • A targeted community of users beyond the workplace
     

  • The initiative may address any stage of the beneficiary journey—from proactive prevention of mental health issues to reactive or ongoing wellbeing support

  • Must have been initiated or implemented within the last 18 months.

 

  • All applications will be considered, and should your application successfully meet the criteria and pass the judging panel we will contact you to inform you of your nomination.
     

  • All nominees (either themselves or a delegate) must register for the conference, to present their application and accept the award if successful.
     

  • Presentations will be 5 minutes maximum (recorded video), and we will contact you ahead of the conference to gather the recorded video.

APEAR is a small not-for-profit organization and as such all award nominees are responsible to fund their own travel, accommodation and conference registration fee.

Submissions close on 31st of October 2026, and shortlisted nominees will be contacted by 30 November 2026.

AWARD APPLICATION

Please review the APEAR 2027 Award criteria and submission requirements before completing your application.

By submitting an application, you acknowledge that:

  • Submission does not guarantee nomination or receipt of an APEAR Award. Applications will be assessed against the published eligibility criteria and reviewed by the Award judging panel.

  • The project, product, service, practice or delivery submitted must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the APEAR 2027 Award Call for Applications.

  • If nominated, you or a designated representative must register for and attend the APEAR 2027 Conference to present the submission and, if successful, accept the Award.

  • Nominees will be required to provide a recorded presentation of no more than five minutes in advance of the conference, in accordance with instructions provided by APEAR.

  • APEAR does not cover conference registration, travel, accommodation or other expenses associated with attending the conference.

  • Information submitted through the application form will be used for the purpose of administering and evaluating your Award application and will be handled in accordance with APEAR’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
