About APEAR
As a not-for-profit organization, the Asia Pacific Employee Assistance Roundtable (APEAR) is a regional forum for the promotion of the highest standards of practice and continuing development of Employee Assistance professionals, providers and services. Employee Assistance (EA) is a work-based program designed to improve organizational performance through the provision of structured management and employee support services.
The APEAR Secretariat is currently based in Singapore at 1 Orchard Boulevard, #09-04 Camden Medical Centre, Singapore 248649.
Objectives of APEAR

To present the business case for Employee Assistance (EA) and mental health at work programs to Human Resource, Occupational Health and business leaders with a focus on how to maximize employee performance through EAP

To promote better understanding of the clinical practice and application of EA provision

To develop regional guidelines for EA as well as a Code of Ethics for EA practitioners and providers; and
-
To continue the professional exchange and dialogue regarding EA in the Asia Pacific and with other EA organizations
